Throughout his 38 year career in medicine, Dr. Wallin has been interested in optimizing health, optimizing fitness, preventative medicine and aging successfully. This interest eventually brought him to the fields of Age Management Medicine and Functional Medicine, where he combines nutrition, fitness, hormone optimization and appropriate and individualized supplements in a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to achieve optimal health and wellness for each of his patients. A new office space in 2017 allowed expansion of clinical scope to include GainsWave therapy for erectile dysfunction (ED), Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections for ED (the P-shot) or for musculoskeletal issues and Exercise Physiology testing for improved sports performance. He has been an active participant of a Cenegenics health program for several years, which has allowed him to lead an active and fulfilling lifestyle including multiple sports, interests and hobbies. In 1988, Dr. Wallin came to Fayetteville, N.C. and started a new Cardiac Surgery program, coordinating the development of the Cardiac Anesthesia department, the Cardiac OR’s and the Cardiac ICU. After several years, he transitioned to Outpatient Anesthesia, where as President of the practice, he served in both an administrative and clinical capacity. He obtained Physician Training & Certification in Age Management Medicine with the Age Management Medicine Education Foundation (AMMEF) and the Age Management Medicine Group (AMMG). He completed a Fellowship in Age Management Medicine with Cenegenics Medical Institute, and since 2016 has been the President/CEO and Chief Medical Officer for Cenegenics Carolinas. His focus now is the integrative approach of Functional and Age Management Medicine. Interests and Hobbies: He has competed in multiple triathlons over the past 35 years and was 51 years old when he ran his first marathon and 53 when he did a half marathon/full marathon double. He has completed the 500-600 mile Cycle NC ride four times. He has windsurfed for many years, sailing in the Outer Banks of NC, Hawaii, Aruba and Venezuela. He is a Level 2 certified lacrosse coach. He continues to pursue cycling, resistance training, cardio-training and yoga training. He has a woodworking shop and a metal working/welding shop and has made art pieces for charity auctions and metal templates for a local steel company. He holds a private pilot certificate with an instrument rating and regularly flies his Cessna 182 Skylane for Patient Airlift Services, PilotsNPaws and SouthWings. He has completed the Flying Ambassador programs in NC, SC, Virginia and Maryland flying to over 250 different airports. He is an avid fan of the TV show “Survivor” and has an extensive collection of Survivor memorabilia.
